I received this box a couple years ago for Christmas. It is beautiful! It is heavy and of good quality. It did arrive with a small scratch on the lid. However, the drawers are roomy. Beware that only the top has dividers, the rest are only drawers, but this didn't bother me. I also always wish that there were more places for rings because there are only a couple of rows. I really love the 6 boxed dividers on the top drawer for all my earrings! Unfortunately mine was stolen and I have to get a replacement. I think I'm going to try the Layla model next. I bought this as a present for my mom-in-law. she's a super-shopper, so it's tough to one-up her with a gift, but this jewelery box did the trick! She was so pleased that she could replace her old worn out white leather jewelry box with this beautiful wooden case that she was nearly in tears. She does so much for other people, it was nice to be able to get her something she really loved. Oh, yeah - and it was so well packed I could have thrown it out the car window to her without stopping and it wouldn't have gotten a scratch on it! Thanks for the 'perfect gift' Mele & Co.! I actually bought this box on the sly. My wife's birthday was only a few days away and I need a great gift. This was perfect. She loved the box, plus I slipped a necklace in on one of the doors and she was so surprised! Definitely got be out of a jam. (Posted on 3/10/09)
